In Japan, there has long been a culture of appreciating the four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—as well as the diverse natural landscapes such as seas, mountains, rivers, and forests, shaped by the country’s geography.


As a result, there is a concept called "Kachōfūgetsu" (the beauty of nature: flowers, birds, wind, and the moon), which embodies the close connection to nature and living creatures, and this concept has been incorporated into design patterns.


While Japanese design patterns continue to evolve and expand with limitless possibilities, here we introduce some of the most iconic, focusing mainly on the classic ones.
